Awesome Things
This is not how you deal with model terrain |
So I've found a little something something that has really caught my eye. For many of us, the dream of playing on a fully furnished, beautifully detailed wargames table custom built and available at all times is... unfortunately, crazy. Whether it's space issues, significant other issues (I WON'T HAVE THAT INSTEAD OF A DINING TABLE!!!), or monetary issues, it's just unreasonable for us to have a fully assembled table available in our homes all the time.
This of course means we need portable terrain. Something that is small enough that we can easily transport it to the friends place, or store it comfortably without it getting beat all to hell and back. Cardboard terrain, while versatile, isn't the most... robust... of materials, and resin/home made stuff isn't the lightest of options ('How much filler did you use on this??'). So where does this leave us?
Whilst perusing Beasts of War as I am oft to do, I came across a very interesting kick starter concept in one of their latest articles. A small company by the name of Impudent Mortal, has come up with a little something something that, in all honesty, is pure genius. Collapsible, PUZZLE PIECE FITTED MDF terrain!
Now the Kickstarter campaign is only on for a further 12 days as of this posting, so Go have a look and give them some love. It's a fantastic concept and I'm just waiting on some of that sweet sweet paypal money to come in so I can drop for one of the $60+ options.
Give it a look. You won't be sorry.
Until next time,
That table needs at east 75% coverage!
Bean out~
