Infinity Battle Report 1: Ariadna vs YuJing

Fight Is BEGIN!
Just yesterday I had the chance to play a game of Infinity against my buddy Harry who ha just added a whole bunch to his YuJing Vanilla force for Infinity. He has been using the YuJing starter for over a year now and, due to one reason or another never had much of a chance to play (despite me always badgering him for a game!). Well! A little while ago I finally managed to convince him to add to his forces and he picked up some support in the form of the YuJing Support Pack, the Gūijiă, and the Kuang-Shi! Now we're talking!
Today he threw down with a 300 point battle amidst my (in-progess...) terrain and we had a hell of a game. Here's the report!

Here is the Table setup as it stood before deployment:

I (Bean) won the roll off for side and setup and decided to go first.

Deployment:
BEAN: Three of my Line Khazaks (including the Paramedic) set up on the top of the North-most building in my zone. The Chasseur infiltrated on top of the next building down in camo and prone, having set up a mine behind the energy plant (the double -stack building in the bottom center of the pic) to protect against possible Combat drop (Harry's Tiger Soldier). My two Irmandinho's set up in front of the Energy plant (the two silver dudes), while my Scout/Lieutenant set up in camo directly in front, behind the hedges. My Tankkiller Autocannon set up in camo on the adjacent buildinf to the north on the top most stack, and lastly a Khazaki team consisting of my 2 veteran Khazaks, my Khazak Doctor and a Line Khazak set up just outside of the south most forest.

Harry:  All three of his Celestial Guard set up on top of the large building in the center, using the tower as cover. The Kuang-Shi set up adjacent to it on the southern facing, while the Guijia, a Palbot/YaoZao, Tiger Soldier (No combat drop!!! :(  *sadface*) and Mechanic set up behind the same building. The doctor and the second Palbot/YaoZao setup behind the southern most building, and finally, the Hac Tao set up in TO Camo/Hidden set up.

ARIADNA Turn 1:

I moved models about a bit, with the Irmandinho's rushing forward and the Chasseur dropping a mine down the side of the building he was on top of.. This mostly accomplished little as I basically just set up fire lanes including up two suppressive fire bursts between and over the northern building across from the Line Khazaks. Little of note happened.

YUJING Turn 1:
Utilizing their Impetuous free move and the orders pool, the Kuang-shi move up with two getting into position and chain rifling the Khazaki team to the south. The Khazaki team is all rendered unconconcious (vet kazaks have no wound incapacitation thankfully...). The return ARO kills them both causing them to explode, killing the vet khazak with HMG and the khazak doctor. Guijia moves and sets up suppressive fire down alley. Rest of the YuJing army moves into position

ARIADNA Turn 2:
The Autocannon pops out of camo seeing the giant silhouette of the Guijia and, 2 orders later, slays it amidst a series of EXP+AP damage 15 shots. One of the Irmandinhos uses it's Chain-Rifle to cause havok amongst the surviving Guijia pilot, Yaozao, and tiger soldier, managing to send the YaoZao and pilot into the unconscious states. The Line khazak (paramedic) makes a long run to revive the remainder of the unconscious Khazaki team to the south and luckily succeeds on all medic-kit roles. The newly revived Line Khazak climbs a ladder but, crossing the view of a celestial guard, then gets shot and passes out again. The revived vet khazak moves to the building corner and shoots down the offending  celestial guard in retribution.

YUJING Turn 2:
The tiger soldier, pulling out it's HMG murders unconscious irmandinho. Mechanic repairs aYaoZao, the YaoZao goes on to murder the unconscious guijia pilot (it fails its WIP roll to heal him) in his sleep. Kuang-shi rushes forward through gunfire to chain-rifle vet-khazak. Vet khazak manages to drop the quang-shi with his Rifle but the Kuang-shi puts the vet back into unconscious state with his chain-rifle (thank the gods for no wound incapaciation!). Lastly the Hac-Tao, leaving the safety of his TO-CAMO, combat strikes the vet khazak killing him outright with his multi-rifle. Things are looking grim for the ADF.

ARIADNA Turn 3:
The sole remaining Irmandinh, throwing caution to the wind, opens up with his chain rifles THREE TIMES, managing to kill the Mechanic and Tiger soldier as well as rendering the YaoZao unconscious. The rest of my army maneuvers and shoots to no effect. After a quick calculation we realize that both armies are on the verge of RETREAT! status (I was roughly 13 points shy and Harry's YuJing were 3 points short!)

YUJING Turn 3:
The Hac-Tao moves out to the corner of the building to shoot the last heroic Irmandinho and the poor Iirmandinho is obliterated (fails all physique rolls to dodge, despite both needing equal rolls of 14 or less). A Celestial guard moves up from behind the tower to shoot down the unconscious line khazak resting on the building across from him, whilst being sniped by the camouflaged Cateran sniper from the energy towers. The Line khazak and celestial guard both die with the end result of BOTH  forces going into retreat!

ARIADNA Turn 4: 
  OOPS! I FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES OF THIS ROUND!
With my force in retreat, impetuous orders happen first (as always)... and alas Retreat! means all models in my force gain a free impetuous order: to move in the most direct way possible towards my table edge!. That perfidious Hac-Tao decides to shoot my poor line khazak as they retreat via ARO,  but takes a wound for his attempt. The Chasseur moves up to flanks the enemy (the impetuous order brought him out of prone and down the ladder). The Cateran snipes the hac-Tao but misses....

YUJING Turn 4:
   OOPS! I FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES OF THIS ROUND!
The impetuous Retreat! orders lead to a Yaozao being sniped to death in ARO by the Cateran. The retreating Celestial guard takes down a Line Khazak with her boarding shotgun with a critical hit... Clever Girl....
Finally the Hac-Tao kills the last regular Line Khazak with its multi-rifle and with that, the game ends!

 After final calcualtions were complete, Harry won with 208 kill points to My (Bean's) 196 kill points.
Well done Harry!

Wow, what a close game that was! a difference of only 12 points in kills (a single line Khazak!) being the deciding factor, and BOTH ARMIES IN RETREAT!  HOLY HELLS!

  2. It's very much a work im progress (as the soda can 'power station' can attest). I'm aiming to add more to it in the new yesr and hopefuly have it all finished up and looking 'professional'-ish in the next few months. Though I will admit it's not too bad for a first go at making foamcore buildings.... I'm amazed at what I could get done with only 3 sheets of 3'x2' foamcore boards.
    As an aside, I'm a huge fan mr. SinSynn, so coming from you, the compliment is doubled in excellence! Many thanks!
    Asa FURTHER aside, if I can somehow convince Richard (one of my contributors) to finish building his Combined models, then I'll have a chance to see just how gribbly the Combined actually are.... and give them a good stomping ;)
