I'm alive...

I have to apologize to Bean for being so quiet of late, but work and family just got me into a head space that just ate up all my spare time. However that doesn’t mean that I was completely out of gaming. I got side tracked, but with a new year and a commitment on going to lock and load this June I’m getting back into the routine.

Last November I ran a small intro steam roller event at one the local stores.  Steam roller is the official Privateer Press tournament system. Bean and Richard were participates and thank you for awesome feedback. This event was designed for newer and returning players to system. 

The set up was a 45 minute death clock, 1 caster\warlock 25 point list. I figured this to be start, and from the response it worked (as most players only had one caster). The first round was a random draw and then each round after the winners went on, nothing overly fancy. After three rounds we crowned a champion. We handed out prizes for first, second, fastest caster kill and best sportsman.

The results were as follows:   1^st place went to Legion of Everblight

                                                2^nd went to the Protectorate of Menoth

                                                Fastest caster kill went to Bean @ 13mins and 30seconds

                                                Best sportsman went to the 2^nd place winner

All in all it was a fun experience and mostly everyone had a fun time, there was some complaints but oh well. There are some things that I will improve for the next time which will be in March, such as maybe taking the point limit up to 35 minutes and a 2 list system.

PS... I heard rumours about the Archangel but didn’t put too much stock in it, holy crap I was fooled. Sorry bean, if it takes the sting away he didn’t get a single vote for sportsman…
