Kirby - "You know... we've made some money, had some laughs at our clientele's expense... LITERALLY! BAZING! AND driven a beloved company and IP into the ground... What do we do next?"
Merrit - "I dunno... write a note onto one thousand one hundred pound notes saying :HA HA HA: and Kill ourselves to avoid the pogrom evident on the horizon from our once loyal fans?"
Kirby - "RACE YOU!!! HEEHEEEHEEE!!!"
Oh... what's that? you're not sure what I'm talking about? Observe and be enlightened:

In case you missed it, allow me to focus on the biggest offender:
"By way of illustration, but not limitation, North American Retailers are not permitted to sell GAMES WORKSHOP products on any website, web-portal, third-party web-portal or other Internet-based platform of any kind.
This prohibition includes any form of online shopping cart that would enable a Consumer to order or purchase GAMES WORKSHOP products on-line."
The GW execs |
What this means is simply that GW is blocking/stopping all non-GW direct online sales... and not just the sale of bits and many have already gone off about all over the webternets. In addition they are blocking all bits sales by restricting trade accounts to selling packaged parts only; AKA: No Bitz Services at all (Spikey bits, bitzbox, etc.). You can be sure this will extend to Europe as soon as they can make it happen.
As someone who lives far from civilization (for the moment), this is insane, as GW shipping is rather nutso, and when I can get it from other online retail places for free shipping (from which, I may add, GW has already made their money so they are not loosing profit at all), this hits extra close to my cyborg-bloodpump-beat machine.
MADNESS!
OH well. Time to get the parts you want now, because soon, that stuff will be illegal. *cough cough*
Until next time,
Herpaderp GW. herpaderp.
Bean out~
